How Designesh started
Long before it had a name, Designesh was small Excel jobs. In 2018, while I was still studying telecom engineering at UET Taxila, I took freelance work on Upwork and Fiverr cleaning messy sheets, writing VBA macros and building dashboards, and it grew into more than 200 orders and a Top Rated badge, because clients kept coming back with the next report they wanted off their desk.
In 2022 I joined Huawei as a Microwave Planning Engineer, and that is where the Excel habit turned into real automation. Planning microwave links means link budgets, frequency plans and equipment lists that people check line by line, and since our work computers only allowed Excel, I built those checks right inside Excel, so they could run there instead of being done by hand.
After a while I saw that I was solving the same kind of problem again and again, for my team and for my freelance clients, so I started turning those fixes into tools that anyone could buy once and use. That is how CineQueue, Auto Schedule on X, VideoDoc and VoiceClone came out of Designesh, and it is how my business partner and I built The Forklifter, an equipment rental platform for industrial companies across Pakistan.
Today Designesh builds AI products and automation for small businesses. Claude Code is the main tool we build with, and Claude runs inside the cloud automations Designesh offers. Designesh works from its office in Blue Area, Islamabad, and I still answer every message myself, because this all started as a way to take slow, repeated work off people’s hands, and that is easier when you speak to the person who builds it.
